KIC General Assistance is a short-term, employment focused program. We provide culturally appropriate referrals and quality services by promoting self-sufficiency for low-income Alaska Native/American Indian applicants who are living in the Ketchikan area. Staff will work with applicants to develop an ISP (Individualized Self-Sufficiency Plan) and will help applicants reach their goal of employment. We provide financial assistance with rent, utilities, food, and household items.
Eligibility
Must be an Alaska Native/American Indian living in Ketchikan (Saxman residents receive services from Tlingit & Haida); Must have all documentation turned in and GA staff approval prior to any award; 18 and older to apply; and must not be getting assistance from other comparable services/resources.
